[00:00:49] CHELSEY DONN: hello,

[00:00:52] TREY GERRALD: and welcome everyone to Review That Review. We are the podcast that is dedicated to reviewing

[00:01:00] CHELSEY DONN: Reviews, and

[00:01:01] TREY GERRALD: and that is your co host Chelsey Donn

[00:01:04] CHELSEY DONN: that is your co host Trey Gerrald,

[00:01:07] TREY GERRALD: and together we are

[00:01:09] VOICEOVER: The Review Queens,

[00:01:13] CHELSEY DONN: that's right.

[00:01:13] TREY GERRALD: But First. Chelsey, I must know, is there anything that's been causing you havoc that you really want to share? Is there something you would like to

[00:01:23] VOICEOVER: Lodge a complaint,

[00:01:25] TREY GERRALD: about this week?

[00:01:26] CHELSEY DONN: Ugh, I am literally dying to lodge a complaint. It's a real time complaint. I'm feeling it in this very moment. So, you know when you've pushed the laundry just too far? You knew you were supposed to do it. You just kept putting it off. You got busy. Life happens, whatever, and like, you have to live with that decision, but you also have to live with the like, janky sports bra and the like, bad underwear and the what jeans fit me that aren't my dirty jeans, and it's just this trickle down thing, and then it becomes so insurmountable, like right now, after we get off recording, I have no choice.

This is like the last pair of underwear. We have pushed it. As far as we can push it, and now, ugh, the dread of having to do this laundry that's in front of me that is probably going to go deep into the evening at this point, ugh, it's, I have no one to blame but myself, I guess, but, geez, do you ever push it too far?

[00:02:29] TREY GERRALD: It's interesting you're talking about laundry because I literally was just upstairs doing another load of laundry and I was noticing, I feel like something might be wrong with our dryer

and I'm not sure if it's because the loads are too big that it's sort of like killing the power of the dryer, but

the dryer is really not working as well, but it really is, I have like two heaping piles of

[00:02:53] CHELSEY DONN: Sure. Yes. That's part of the problem, is when it gets too full, then it dries for a century.

[00:03:00] TREY GERRALD: exactly. And then I'm also like, I'm trying to re dry, so I don't want to put in the next load of laundry because I have this load of laundry that needs to dry. And I don't trust that it's going to finish. No, I feel that it is like. I don't know why laundry is so obnoxious, like, dishes, I feel like, it's because it's less time consuming,

I feel like the laundry, you have to step away, it's gonna take at least, like, 45 minutes, so it's like, you're not in the constant act of it, so then it's just like, feels like this task

that's gonna be so time consuming, and then you step away, and then you get less motivated, it's like, yeah, it's always a heaping pile of laundry,

[00:03:38] CHELSEY DONN: Yes, you should see, I mean, you're not going to Patreon, but you should see what's going on behind this curtain, okay?

[00:03:45] TREY GERRALD: oh, it's all right there,

[00:03:46] CHELSEY DONN: Oh, it's just a mess. It's a mess. But anyway,

[00:03:50] TREY GERRALD: yeah, I feel that, yeah,

[00:03:51] CHELSEY DONN: that's later tonight's problem.

[00:03:54] TREY GERRALD: I can

totally validate that complaint for you, and,

um, it's added to the ledger for sure.

[00:03:59] CHELSEY DONN: Thank goodness.

[00:04:00] TREY GERRALD: Well, we have a very exciting episode today. Chelsey, should we go ahead and jump into an online review?

[00:04:04] CHELSEY DONN: Yes, let's do it.

[00:04:08] VOICEOVER: Review That Review,

[00:04:13] CHELSEY DONN: As you know, we are your trusty Review Queens. We bring in reviews from the internet that we feel need to be inspected,

[00:04:20] TREY GERRALD: We read you our review, then we break it down and rate the impact of that review on a scale from zero to five crowns. It's a very regal process that we call,

[00:04:29] VOICEOVER: Assess That Kvetch,

[00:04:33] CHELSEY DONN: this mail for like a whole week.

[00:04:37] TREY GERRALD: I thought about that this morning because I, I purchased this before Christmas. Wait, is that right? I did, because, wait, is that right? Yes, it is right, because, when I went to purchase it on the website, it was like,

yes, it was like, anticipate, like, you know, this is the busiest season, there might be a few delay, and I have wanted this product for It's just been sitting because it actually was very speedy.

We'll talk about that. So we're going to cover a review of this thing that I have mailed both me and Chelsey, and then on our after show, we're going to actually live review it ourselves. So we're really gonna like do the circumference of

this product to find the truth. So, finally we're here. Chelsey, do you, oh, also I thought this was going to be a secret, because the times we've done this before, it's been from Amazon, which is like a nondescript box.

I didn't consider how the mailing label is going to say who it is, and I forgot that this company has really cool branding. Chelsey,

do you want to describe the box?

[00:05:35] CHELSEY DONN: so it's actually kind of funny because I got this box and I didn't know the brand but it was like this rainbow heart and it said T in the middle and I was like, did Trey get his own branded box to send me the gift? Like is this T for Trey? It's beautiful though. It's this pink box with a rainbow with a heart in the middle with a yellow background and a blue T with a little mini heart inside.

God. It's pretty lightweight, you guys, when I, when I shake it, I'm not hearing much, which I think means that it was probably packaged pretty well, whatever it is, because the last time that we had that lip venom, I could really hear it shaking back and forth, but I feel like maybe there's like tissue paper in here or something, because I'm not hearing like a ton of moving around, and I don't know anything about this brand, so I feel like I can open this pretty blunt, like I, I really don't know what we're getting into, I

[00:06:29] TREY GERRALD: Alright, so let's slice it open. It's about 6 inches by 7 inches, this little box. I thought it would come in an envelope, but, so, I'm using a little razor blade, Chelsey has some scissors.

It must be very expensive, by the way, to have your own cardboard boxes, right? Wouldn't you think?

[00:06:44] CHELSEY DONN: would think yeah to have your own branded boxes. I know like even for our merch I feel like that was an option, but it's like

[00:06:51] TREY GERRALD: Do you have any, any expectations? Like what do you, what do you think this is? Like this little

T with a rainbow?

[00:06:57] CHELSEY DONN: I honestly don't know, but I can see that it's called Trixie Cosmetics and Trixie Cosmetics LLC, both are listed on the label. And also this was delivered to Chelsey Queen Donn.

[00:07:11] TREY GERRALD: well, because that's because I thought it was gonna be in

an envelope.

[00:07:14] CHELSEY DONN: though. I think I'm going to do that from now on so that we know, like, this is the one not to open.

[00:07:19] TREY GERRALD: that's what I didn't think about how it was gonna be. Okay. All right. So you have no idea what Trixie Cosmetics.

[00:07:24] CHELSEY DONN: feel like, okay, I don't know anything about this world. I didn't look it up intentionally because I didn't want to. But I feel like maybe it's like some sort of a drag makeup thing, and I'm feeling like maybe lashes,

[00:07:39] TREY GERRALD: Oh, that would be good.

[00:07:41] CHELSEY DONN: maybe? I don't know. Should I open and

[00:07:44] TREY GERRALD: Yeah, let's lift the package.

[00:07:46] CHELSEY DONN: Oh my Okay, so I'm right about the drag queen.

[00:07:48] TREY GERRALD: Yes,

[00:07:49] CHELSEY DONN: Uh, Trixie Oh, hello.

[00:07:52] TREY GERRALD: do you know who this is?

[00:07:54] CHELSEY DONN: Trixie Mattel?

[00:07:56] TREY GERRALD: How did you know that?

[00:07:57] CHELSEY DONN: Just because I feel like I've heard the name, like the name sounds familiar.

[00:08:02] TREY GERRALD: And you've never watched Drag Race, right?

[00:08:04] CHELSEY DONN: never watched Drag Race, which I know is a sin, which just doesn't make any sense because I love drag, but okay. Thanks. Thanks for your purchase, BB. This is the card on inside.

I'm sure you'll see that when it comes to cosmetics, I'm no dumb blonde. These products are the real deal. Don't let the adorable, which it is so adorable, packaging and wallet friendly prices fool you. We're drag queens and normals alike. Trixie Cosmetics is committed to providing makeup that will make everyone feel like a legend, icon, and a star.

We are also cruelty free and donate a portion of our sales to the Bee Conservatory, a non profit organization dedicated to protecting bees, safeguarding the environment, and securing food justice through education, research, habitat creation, and advocacy. Wow, and then they leave like their info if there's any issues.

This is a fabulous little insert, and there is tissue paper inside, there's this beautiful pink tissue, I love pink, I'm opening it,

[00:09:10] TREY GERRALD: me too.

[00:09:12] CHELSEY DONN: Bestie Bomb, Myrtle Pomegranate Lip Balm, is this another plumper, or is this just a regular balm?,

[00:09:21] TREY GERRALD: So this is just a regular lip balm. So if you hold it up, I actually bought

[00:09:26] CHELSEY DONN: Oh,

[00:09:27] TREY GERRALD: flavors. So Chelsey has the Myrtle,

[00:09:31] CHELSEY DONN: Myrtle Pomegranate Lip Balm,

[00:09:33] TREY GERRALD: so yours is color, has a colored tint. Mine is non colored, and it's called, oop, it's called Barb,

[00:09:41] CHELSEY DONN: Oh, Barb,

[00:09:42] TREY GERRALD: And it's Marshmallow Scent.

[00:09:43] CHELSEY DONN: okay,

[00:09:44] TREY GERRALD: We'll get into the packaging and stuff on the after show, Cause we'll open it from later.

So now, we have revealed.

Today we're gonna cover the Trixie Cosmetics Bestie Balm. And, I wanna quickly just share, cause I know Chelsey is not affluent in Drag Race, which is perfect for the purposes of today. So, Trixie Mattel was a contestant on Season 7 of

RuPaul's Drag Race. She was like the 7th out or something, and then sometimes they'll bring someone back.

And so she came back and then was eliminated again. Then created a internet web series with a different contestant from that season called Ummmnnnnn. Spelled N U H N N N N N H H H H H H H H H,

[00:10:27] CHELSEY DONN: oh my god, hilarious, oh

[00:10:28] TREY GERRALD: which they just wrapped their eighth season. It's become very viral. Vice, the television

network Vice, picked it up to series,

[00:10:36] CHELSEY DONN: Oh, wow.

[00:10:37] TREY GERRALD: can, the other Drag Queen Katya Zamyloitsykova House, Bitch, um, had a drug relapse and

had to go into um, This is a whole thing.

This is besides the point. Anyway, they became very famous and very viral, and then Trixie Mattel competed on RuPaul's Drag Race All Stars Season 3,

and, spoiler alert, won the season.

[00:10:59] CHELSEY DONN: Oh, wow. When was this?

[00:11:01] TREY GERRALD: Probably in 2018? 2017? I don't know. All Stars Season 9 is going to be airing this calendar year, so

it's been a while. And then it. since, Trixie Mattel has opened up a hotel called the Trixie Motel in Palm Springs.

They have, they're now about to release the second season of a home renovation show on Max called

Trixie

[00:11:24] CHELSEY DONN: doing very well.

[00:11:25] TREY GERRALD: And Trixie Mattel also created this cosmetics line. And yes, they're, RuPaul famously said in an interview on Stephen Colbert, Trixie Mattel is rich.

[00:11:37] CHELSEY DONN: I mean, sounds like she's rich,

[00:11:39] TREY GERRALD: Trixie has a really fantastic YouTube channel where they like bake things with an easy bake oven.

Trixie goes through, obviously her aesthetic is based on the Barbie Mattel look,

[00:11:50] CHELSEY DONN: Right. yeah.

[00:11:51] TREY GERRALD: so she goes through like the history of Barbie dolls and all of that, and then also just does really funny stuff. So.

I wanted to support the channel and the cosmetic line, but I am not really going to buy a bunch of makeup necessarily, so I was looking at what I could buy.

So today, this is a brand new source, so we're gonna review a five star judge. me review.

[00:12:15] CHELSEY DONN: What? Okay.

[00:12:16] TREY GERRALD: So, I think Judge. me is one of those aggregators of

reviews that you're like, sent to when you purchase products.

[00:12:26] CHELSEY DONN: Interesting. I can't say I've ever heard of Judge. me, but I know that there are aggregates.

[00:12:31] TREY GERRALD: Yes. And I will say that when you look at Judge. me, there are varying stars. So it's not all five star reviews, but this one I found to be the most entertaining. So,

today, we're gonna review Vaughn's five star Judge. me review for the Marshmallow Bestie Bomb. Barb.

[00:12:50] CHELSEY DONN: Barb.

[00:12:51] TREY GERRALD: Alright, here we go. Subject is, Barb is the bestie, I'm a straight acting bisexual who presents mask and bro, I love this bomb, it's perfect for a guy or anyone who wants to feel a subtle fantasy without screaming, look at me, but encourages others to, Take a second glance. The packaging serves, as all Trixie Cosmetics do. The smell is most certainly a delicious marshmallow, and not overpowering. The consistency is not runny, it comes out of the tube dense enough to scoop onto your fingertip without making a mess. The color is a sheer white. With micro multicolored glitter, the balm spreads clear with a wet shine and does sparkle with the lightly dispersed glitter. It's subtle, but noticeable. The balm is very masterizing. And smooth, when you rub your lips together, not tacky or sticky at all. It's very buildable, and a little goes a long way, so start slow, and layer to your liking. I look forward to wearing the Marshmallow Bestie Balm Barb this summer. Under my big, manly mustache, To show the dolls, I'm the one, When they ask themselves, Who is she?, And, If anyone gets close enough to get a sniffy of the It will leave them wanting some more,

Try it on yourself, and buy at least one, You'll be glad you did, I am,

[00:14:42] CHELSEY DONN: Love a good pun. Okay, just to clarify before we get into it, um, so Straight acting by male presenting. I just want to get this like right for accuracy. Does that mean that this is, I don't know how to word it. Maybe

[00:15:01] TREY GERRALD: I'll answer, Cause I'm looking at the sentence, So, so it's, this is a bisexual, I guess they're a male,

It doesn't

[00:15:11] CHELSEY DONN: I was going to say. I

[00:15:12] TREY GERRALD: but they say, Bisexual who's straight acting and presents, Mask and Bro, So this is a bisexual, who,

who like,

[00:15:21] CHELSEY DONN: this is a bisexual man.

[00:15:23] TREY GERRALD: assuming a bisexual man who doesn't present feminine.

[00:15:26] CHELSEY DONN: And I think the point of leading us in with that is like, this is a product that even someone that's not wanting to be super glittery can wear and still feel fabulous.

[00:15:38] TREY GERRALD: And that's exactly why I wanted to buy this balm,

because, yes, I like dabble in makeup,

but like,

[00:15:45] CHELSEY DONN: day to day,

[00:15:46] TREY GERRALD: right, like I want something to support Trixie.

But that isn't like eyeliner, right?

But I love that you just started with that because that's one of my biggest questions that I'm eager to do the live review on the after show for because I'm curious about the shimmer and the glitter.

[00:16:04] CHELSEY DONN: yeah, I do like the way that they described it, how they said, it's a subtle sparkle, but it's noticeable, like it makes a statement, and I do wonder What that looks like, so I'm excited to try it.

[00:16:16] TREY GERRALD: I know I'm scared about that.

[00:16:17] CHELSEY DONN: I did appreciate all of the ways in which they broke down the various elements of a lip balm. I thought that was sort of queenly.

We're talking about, you know, little goes a long way and layer to your liking.

[00:16:31] TREY GERRALD: Not sticky or

[00:16:32] CHELSEY DONN: sticky, not liquidy, not, which obviously, like, we'll go over all this in the after show and see if we agree or not, and if that changes things, but if I am to take Vaughn at their word, I think they do a really good job of breaking down the product,

[00:16:48] TREY GERRALD: Me too, because if I were to think about, like, Carmex,

I don't know that I would be thinking of how to break down, like, sticky tacky, buildable, shimmer shine, like, they

really actually And specifically, like, I got you a colored, tinted version, but, like, for this, no color, just, like, clear lip balm,

like, how descriptive can you get?

But Vaughn has proven to be pretty descriptive, actually.

[00:17:16] CHELSEY DONN: and then I love that, like, kind of last sentiment of, like, you know, I'm the one, like, who is she, like, that's me, um, and That says something to me in a way of like this is the kind of lip gloss that I'm going to put on and it's going to really like up my confidence, which I do look for in makeup,

[00:17:34] TREY GERRALD: Yeah, I agree, like, I appreciate it because, obviously, like, I think anyone going to Trixie Cosmetics, like, you're going for that brand, that personality, that, like, wink wink.

Like, if you weren't, you would just go to CVS and get Carmex, or you would get, you

[00:17:49] CHELSEY DONN: Right,

[00:17:50] TREY GERRALD: Vaseline or something Vaseline?

[00:17:53] CHELSEY DONN: the word Masterizing?

[00:17:56] TREY GERRALD: I think it's a typo.

[00:17:57] CHELSEY DONN: What do you think it's supposed to

[00:17:59] TREY GERRALD: Moisturizing.

[00:18:01] CHELSEY DONN: Oh, I don't know. I feel like with Vaughn, I would almost believe it if they like created a new word. They do kind of like puns.

[00:18:09] TREY GERRALD: Well, it's spelled M A I S T U R I Z I N G. So I actually

had to go back and read it the way it's spelled, because I just saw it as moisturizing, but it is

a misspelling.

[00:18:21] CHELSEY DONN: Okay, okay, okay.

[00:18:22] TREY GERRALD: But that is what, like, okay, because I don't know all this stuff, but, like, lip balm is to lock in moisture of your lips, right?

[00:18:30] CHELSEY DONN: Ideally, though, there are some studies that say that it actually, if you use it regularly, it dries you out.

[00:18:36] TREY GERRALD: Exactly.

[00:18:37] CHELSEY DONN: And I don't know if you noticed this, but I always feel like people that are constantly using chapstick always have chapped lips.

[00:18:44] TREY GERRALD: that's right. Well, that's also like a whole other thing I can talk about in the after show about why, why we're here today because

I just have been using Burt's Bees for like 15 years and I started to like wonder if, if that's all a sham. So now I'm looking at balms rather than chapsticks.

So anyway, alright, so let's go through our roster here. So

how would you rate the value, new or unique information within this review? Let

[00:19:09] CHELSEY DONN: hi, I mean, I think that the fact that we're breaking down the product so well And we're really getting into any like I think any question you might have about a lip gloss is really being answered here Like is it sticky? Is it liquidy? Is it whatever? You know, is it buildable? You

[00:19:24] TREY GERRALD: And the tacky sticky. Have you ever used, this is like another contradiction of myself, but have you ever used Mac's lip gloss?

[00:19:33] CHELSEY DONN: I don't think so

[00:19:34] TREY GERRALD: Oh my

[00:19:34] CHELSEY DONN: a big Mac girl.

[00:19:35] TREY GERRALD: Really? Oh, that's

interesting. So, okay, so anyone who

[00:19:38] CHELSEY DONN: no offense to Mac,

[00:19:39] TREY GERRALD: no, of course, but anyone who has used it, like, for many years, I feel like Mac lipgloss was, like, the premiere.

It was, like, what every other company was copying because it's so shiny.

[00:19:51] CHELSEY DONN: well, that's the whole like there's stuff so potent and like What's the word? There's another word for potent, but like

[00:19:57] TREY GERRALD: Like, theatrical. It's all

so bold, which is why it is the preferred vendor for the Actors Equity

[00:20:03] CHELSEY DONN: yes, yes,

[00:20:04] TREY GERRALD: You get a discount. So, but the lip glass is so sticky. So

like you could never use it in real life. Like it's great for photo shoots probably, but

like if you have any sort of long hair.

It is a fucking nightmare

and you can't get it off like you have to like scrub it off So to be honest this pushed me over the edge and pushing purchase and

then like because it's called bestie I thought oh, this would be fun

for the show. Let me get one for Chelsea. So

[00:20:30] CHELSEY DONN: love it, love our, it's like the BFF necklaces,

[00:20:34] TREY GERRALD: is but on

[00:20:34] CHELSEY DONN: got our bestie lips, yeah, the spelling and grammar, obviously we had that like one flip up, but other than that, I didn't hear anything, I think that like there was time, there was effort, there was spell check, there was editing. Yeah,

[00:20:49] TREY GERRALD: Truthful Shady,

[00:20:51] CHELSEY DONN: I think truthful.

I mean, I don't find anything in here to be Shady, do you?

[00:20:56] TREY GERRALD: I don't, but it, this is like a conundrum here because this is a personality's makeup line

[00:21:04] CHELSEY DONN: Mm hmm.

[00:21:05] TREY GERRALD: so you already sort of most likely will be a fan when you're purchasing, so then I start to wonder how,

[00:21:12] CHELSEY DONN: Honest?

[00:21:13] TREY GERRALD: yeah, but like how infiltrated are your opinions going in, mm

[00:21:19] CHELSEY DONN: Yeah, I totally hear you because are you saying like if I'm a fan of Trixie Mattel to begin with, like you were and you wanted to go on and support her makeup line, then am I going to be more apt to want to go and cheerlead for Trixie because I'm already a stan? Is that what you're saying?

[00:21:40] TREY GERRALD: my point, like,

[00:21:41] CHELSEY DONN: Yeah, I mean, I definitely hear that.

I think that's going to really, really come to light when we try the product. And we see if we agree with the points that Vaughn brought up, but I will say that all of the evidence that they said and the way that they broke it down really makes me think it's not just a flowery review because it's specific.

[00:22:01] TREY GERRALD: I do wish that there was an image, because they highly encourage images,

[00:22:05] CHELSEY DONN: Mmm, okay.

[00:22:07] TREY GERRALD: but there's not, but it's neither here nor

[00:22:09] CHELSEY DONN: I would love to see this mustache, this famous

[00:22:12] TREY GERRALD: I want to say, who is she?

[00:22:14] CHELSEY DONN: Exactly.

[00:22:16] TREY GERRALD: common experience, fluky, typical, what do you think?

[00:22:20] CHELSEY DONN: I mean, I want to say it's, it seems common enough again, if we're to take them on at their word.

[00:22:26] TREY GERRALD: Especially because, as we've said, Vaughn really breaks down so many components of why this is quality. It does make me think they are somewhat knowledgeable here. So, it just makes me think it probably is common. I feel like people will feel this way.

[00:22:44] CHELSEY DONN: Yeah, I can see this being a typical thing, especially because so many people have brands nowadays, as we know, like there's all these like offshoots. And so if you were just a regular person trying to support a brand, I think it's like you almost expect things to be crappy. Yeah.

[00:23:01] TREY GERRALD: hmm.

[00:23:02] CHELSEY DONN: Because you're like, it's just outsourced.

It's whatever. So when you get a good product, I can see how you would be even more apt to want to write a review to be like, No, this is not just some branded, you know, thing that they're putting their name on. And it's, it's like, crap that you could really get anywhere. So I don't know. There's something about that that feels like it could be a typical experience.

[00:23:26] TREY GERRALD: And, because I know you don't know, like, Trixie Cosmetics actually has like their own factory and their own warehouse and it is all, they're not like buying like here's a lipstick

[00:23:35] CHELSEY DONN: Exactly. Not like what's like what Trader Joe's does, licensing, Burt's Bees, but like putting their brand on it.

[00:23:43] TREY GERRALD: Right, this is all their formulas.

Humor, I think it's very funny, it

is very

[00:23:48] CHELSEY DONN: it's funny. I, you know, I love a pun. If you're on the mailing list for our show, and if you're not, go to ReviewThatReview. com and scroll down to the bottom and sign up.

You'll know that I'm very into puns. I do like a pun. So I personally appreciated the marshmallow, like, wanting s'more

[00:24:05] TREY GERRALD: some more.

[00:24:06] CHELSEY DONN: at the end. I

[00:24:07] TREY GERRALD: A strong ending, I think.

[00:24:08] CHELSEY DONN: Yes.

[00:24:09] TREY GERRALD: Impact, I mean, it made me buy in real life, but it feels convincing to me. I didn't read this, but at the very bottom, it does say, Review collected from invite. But that's how Judge. me goes, so, I sort of know that going in. And I got the email too, it's like, after a couple of days of it being

delivered, you get an email to talk about the

[00:24:30] CHELSEY DONN: Yeah, that doesn't bother me as much as like, sometimes you'll see an Amazon review or something and it'll say like, I was given this product to review. That's

[00:24:42] TREY GERRALD: That feels different, to me too, yeah. good distinction. Well,

[00:24:45] CHELSEY DONN: Well, yeah, I mean, I think the ultimate impact clearly is that you purchased and I definitely think if you were on the fence and you were looking at this product the impact of this review as it was for you would be to push over the edge.

[00:24:58] TREY GERRALD: And even in that same conversation, it does sort of almost feel to me like they are asking. If I was on the fence, like, I could sort of write and be like, you know, I thought it was too gloopy or, you know, like, I feel like asking doesn't push me either way.

Right.

[00:25:14] CHELSEY DONN: agree.

[00:25:15] TREY GERRALD: All right, you want to crown it?

[00:25:17] CHELSEY DONN: I'm ready to crown!

[00:25:18] TREY GERRALD: All right, so Chelsey and I each have our own set of zero to five crown cards.

In an effort to be fair and not influence each other, we will simultaneously reveal our ratings.

[00:25:29] VOICEOVER: The Queens are tabulating,

Time for school,

[00:25:37] CHELSEY DONN: Okay, I'm holding up four crowns, Trey's holding up four and a half crowns, I went with four because I thought it was very solid, I liked what I saw here, I like the humor, I like the personality, I thought it was super queenly, the way we broke everything down, I love the whole owning yourself, owning your beauty, owning your mustache and your little bit of glitter, I just like, I don't know, I just, there's something very endearing about Vaughn, and so that's where the four crowns are coming from, I guess I took one off because of your point of not including the photo,

[00:26:06] TREY GERRALD: hmm.

[00:26:07] CHELSEY DONN: Especially with a product like this, I want to see a photo, like, I want to see you looking fabulous, I want to see this coming from you, and I think a photo really would have pushed this over to be a review queen for me.

That's really, I guess, the only reason I went with four crowns. Why did you go with four and a half?

[00:26:23] TREY GERRALD: I was persuaded in real time. I appreciate that it's lengthy enough that they weren't just like writing a sentence and running away. They really like broke down and a lot of ways that I think I would have been challenged to describe a clear lip gloss.

But yeah, I wish that I could just see it in action.

Personally, what, what I'm on the fence about is the glitter content. Like, because I don't feel confident enough to, like, have lip gloss. I don't want to, like, walk around with crazy shiny lips. So. That's something I'm curious to find out for myself and this review sort of pushed me to like just go for it and try it.

If this straight acting bisexual who presents mask and bro is like into it then like maybe I'll take the leap too. So I thought it was a really strong review. I do wish there was a picture. That's it.

[00:27:10] CHELSEY DONN: Yeah,

[00:27:11] TREY GERRALD: Oh my god,

[00:27:12] CHELSEY DONN: to try this

[00:27:13] TREY GERRALD: me too!

[00:27:13] CHELSEY DONN: show, I'm so excited.

[00:27:15] TREY GERRALD: And you have the pomegranate one, so I was trying to pick a color that I thought would be neutral enough for you, and it was hard for me to tell because there's like six shades or whatever, so we'll figure that out afterwards, because I'm curious if it will be two colored or not colored, so

[00:27:29] CHELSEY DONN: Yeah, I'm very curious too. Either way, I know that I'm gonna love it. So,

[00:27:33] TREY GERRALD: Great job, Vaughn. I want

to hear more reviews from Vaughn.

[00:27:36] CHELSEY DONN: me too. I like Vaughn. Vaughn is very endearing.

[00:27:40] TREY GERRALD: Who is she? She's the

[00:27:41] CHELSEY DONN: She's the one.

[00:27:44] TREY GERRALD: Alright, my

[00:27:45] CHELSEY DONN: I have a, couple stories for the after show, both including She's the One and Barb.

[00:27:49] TREY GERRALD: Oh, well these are all Trixie isms, by the

[00:27:51] CHELSEY DONN: Oh, really? Oh, I think maybe I need to go back and start just like watching them.

[00:27:56] TREY GERRALD: Well, I would highly recommend that you start with RuPaul's Drag Race All Stars 2.

It's the best season of television that's ever been created. I'm speaking from six feet under. I'm speaking from What's the one with about math breaking bad?

[00:28:11] CHELSEY DONN: Jury

[00:28:12] TREY GERRALD: RuPaul's Drag Race All Stars 2, better than jury

[00:28:14] CHELSEY DONN: Wow. Okay, well,

[00:28:17] TREY GERRALD: know that RuPaul Charles Is the most awarded reality host in Emmy history.

[00:28:23] CHELSEY DONN: wow. That, I mean, I can kind of believe that because I feel like the fans are loyal and the fans are there. Yes. I love it. Okay, I'm gonna

[00:28:32] TREY GERRALD: We'll talk more about that on Friday, but Queens, we have done it. We have reached the most regal portion of our show. Chelsey, who are you going to induct today for?

[00:28:42] VOICEOVER: My Royal Highness,

[00:28:43] CHELSEY DONN: Thanks for asking, Trey. So I'm gonna induct, I guess, like a feeling, a sentiment, I don't know what you want to call it, but just whenever you get together with an old friend, You haven't seen in a while and you can just sort of immediately Go into the routine and it's amazing and it's such a gift and I recently had a friend that visited you guys from a summer Program I did at UCLA when I was 15 and I've not seen her since I was 15 She lives in Amsterdam and she's visiting LA and I just saw her 20 years later and it was so lovely and nice and rejuvenating and it just made me feel so good and we're at totally different places in our lives but at the same time our souls are still connected and I just think there's nothing better, speaking of besties, than reconnecting with friends that we haven't seen in a while and if you've been meaning to catch up with an old friend, do it Queens, hang out with an old friend, that's my Royal Highness.

[00:29:42] TREY GERRALD: It's definitely a good feeling, for sure,

I can concur.

[00:29:45] CHELSEY DONN: love it.

[00:29:46] TREY GERRALD: Well we did it Queen, that is another round on the R U A R Q Ferris Wheel of Yes God!

[00:29:53] CHELSEY DONN: Besties! Thank you for joining us today. If you like what you heard, please tell your bestie!

[00:29:59] TREY GERRALD: If you did not like we heard, please tell your bestie enemy.

[00:30:03] CHELSEY DONN: That's right. On this week's After Show Pod, we're, we're rating and reviewing a live review, guys. If you're not on Patreon, now is the time, because Trey and I are gonna try it, we're gonna show each other if we are the one, if we are, what, I don't know, other Trixie isms, but

[00:30:20] TREY GERRALD: Wait, just say, so on this week's after show, we're going to do a live review of the Trixie Bomb.

[00:30:25] CHELSEY DONN: Okay, on this week's after show pod, we are rating and reviewing a live review. What

[00:30:31] TREY GERRALD: don't say we're rating and reviewing a live review. Just say we're doing a live review. Right? Right? Because we're not rating and reviewing a review. We're

doing a live review.

[00:30:42] CHELSEY DONN: on this week's very special after show pod, we are reviewing a live review of none other than Trixie cosmetics.

[00:30:53] TREY GERRALD: it again, you

[00:30:54] CHELSEY DONN: What the fuck did I

[00:30:56] TREY GERRALD: we're not reviewing a review, we're doing a live review,

[00:31:00] CHELSEY DONN: I thought I said that.

[00:31:01] TREY GERRALD: know, you said we're reviewing a live review, Woo!

[00:31:04] CHELSEY DONN: Okay. Okay. Hi Queens. It's still me.

On this week's after show pod, we are doing a live review. It's happening. I'm so excited to find out if Vaughn's predictions were right. We will be live reviewing, as we mentioned, Bestie Bomb by Trixie Cosmetics. You gotta know. Come to reviewthatreview. com slash patreon.

[00:31:28] TREY GERRALD: Yes, and I wonder why this was said. Wait, it's really amazing to me, I mean obviously you had the context clues of Trixie Cosmetics, but

looking at the face of this drag queen, you knew their

[00:31:41] CHELSEY DONN: Yes. Trixie Mattel.

[00:31:43] TREY GERRALD: And you've never watched Drag Race.

[00:31:46] CHELSEY DONN: No, I feel like I wonder, I don't know, I just feel like if you know drag queens at all, You've heard the name Trixie Mattel, somewhere in the zeitgeist,

[00:31:55] TREY GERRALD: there have been hundreds of queens on Repulse Drag Race, and she's really, like, popped

[00:32:01] CHELSEY DONN: Yeah, I mean good for her.

[00:32:03] TREY GERRALD: I know,

[00:32:05] CHELSEY DONN: Me too.

[00:32:07] TREY GERRALD: is she the one?

[00:32:09] CHELSEY DONN: She's the one.

[00:32:10] TREY GERRALD: But in the meantime, please remember,

[00:32:14] CHELSEY DONN: You're the queen! You're the one! You're the head honcho! You just won the whole damn show!

[00:32:20] TREY GERRALD: that's right,

[00:32:21] CHELSEY DONN: Cue the confetti! Woo!

[00:32:24] TREY GERRALD: gender non specific, you're the one, you just won the whole damn thing, you're the confetti queen,

[00:32:30] CHELSEY DONN: That's right. Bye!

[00:33:11] TREY GERRALD: I don't know if I've ever had one,

[00:33:13] CHELSEY DONN: Trey. Until now. All right.
