[00:01:30] Chelsey Donn: Yes.
[00:01:31] Trey Gerrald: 'I feel. 'I feel like 'I. Wanna know? ChelseyBD, how has your week been?
[00:01:36] Chelsey Donn: Hi Trey. 'I was thinking you were gonna ask me that and 'I was like, what am 'I gonna talk about this week? 'I don't know. Time is just going by 'I. Don't know what else to say about it. I'm trying to think if there was like A' main event this week. Oh, my nephew 'I, he's exploring art. He like, he really likes to draw and he's getting quite good.
He's like seven and now he's obsessed with DJ Marshmallow who 'I didn't know who that was. 'I Drew DJ marshmallow, but apparently, yeah. There you go. Tri. We're getting old.
[00:02:05] Trey Gerrald: Is that A' Cartoon or A'? Person
[00:02:06] Chelsey Donn: No, DJ marshmallow is apparently A' 'I. Listen, 'I haven't done too much research on him, but from what 'I know or 'I should say them, but from what 'I know, they're A' DJ and they have A' A' marshmallow head.
Like A' A' hat that covers their whole face and makes 'em look like A' marshmallow with like X
[00:02:25] Trey Gerrald: X is over the 'I. I've
[00:02:27] Chelsey Donn: Yeah, yeah, yeah. So apparently that's all the rage now,
[00:02:31] Trey Gerrald: Got it.
[00:02:32] Chelsey Donn: so, you know, I'm okay with it. I'm okay with not knowing all the trends, 'I, 'I I've, I've come to tell myself.
[00:02:39] Trey Gerrald: Yeah. 'I feel that way. 'I feel that way about A'. Lot of things.
[00:02:43] Chelsey Donn: Maybe like 'I struggle with it more than you do.
Maybe it's easier for you, but 'I shouldn't speak for you.
[00:02:49] Trey Gerrald: Yeah. 'I don't think 'I really care that much now. Mm-hmm.
[00:02:51] Chelsey Donn: Okay. That seems right with your personality. , how about your week?
[00:02:55] Trey Gerrald: My week's good. You know, we are chugging along. Next week is the beginning of Hanukkah and Christmas is around the corner, so you know there's A' lot going on, A', lot of traveling. You know when this airs, David and 'I will have just gotten back from another trip to our new favorite hotspot.
The PGA Hotel 'I
[00:03:15] Chelsey Donn: that might come up in A' minute.
[00:03:17] Trey Gerrald: pin that put A' little cushion over there. What is that? Put A'. Little
[00:03:21] Chelsey Donn: Put A' little pin in that. Put A', put
[00:03:23] Trey Gerrald: A' little pin in that. Yeah. Put A' pin in that
[00:03:24] Chelsey Donn: A' pin in that
[00:03:25] Trey Gerrald: But yeah, life's good. You know, 'I love our dogs and everything's good. It is really cold. It's cold.
[00:03:30] Chelsey Donn: It is cold. It's even cold here. 'I know that 'I shouldn't complain as much, but I've been going through the sweater inventory so,
[00:03:37] Trey Gerrald: Oh yes, for sure. Well, why don't we heat things up cuz I'm really itching too.
[00:03:43] VOICEOVER: Lodge, A, Complaint.
[00:03:44] Chelsey Donn: 'I mentioned to listening. 'I what?
[00:03:47] Trey Gerrald: You you wanna say that again?
[00:03:49] Chelsey Donn: 'I to Listen. Trey
[00:03:51] Trey Gerrald: I'm itching and description in
[00:03:54] Chelsey Donn: Oh man.
[00:03:55] Trey Gerrald: All right, so 'I need to Lodge A' Complaint against something that 'I encounter on A' daily basis. When you are in the car and you look over and you can see another driver operating A' car, but they're texting on their phone,
[00:04:08] Chelsey Donn: Oh
[00:04:08] Trey Gerrald: 'I cannot handle it.
[00:04:10] Chelsey Donn: When you catch someone in the act, do you mean
[00:04:13] Trey Gerrald: When it isn't even being caught, when they aren't even
[00:04:16] Chelsey Donn: they're
[00:04:16] Trey Gerrald: hesitant, they're not caring, they're advert about it. They are like overt. They are expert about being A', marshmallow man with their texting phones. 'I, can't!, 'I, can't!, 'I can't handle it. Like my 'I have an instant impulse to shame them. And then, but then that's like, but 'I have to be paying attention to the road over here.
But it happens.
[00:04:40] Chelsey Donn: I'm distracted by your distraction.
[00:04:43] Trey Gerrald: Yes. And 'I don't even understand. Like, don't most cars have the like ability to like, yeah. So 'I 'I don't understand it. 'I remember one time we had an Uber and. The Uber driver had like on their iPhone, like it was cradled in A' cradle on the windshield, right. With the directions, cuz it was like A' lift or whatever, where it's like part of the program to tell them where to go.
And they had A' little like floating window A' on top of the directions that was playing A' movie.
[00:05:16] Chelsey Donn: What?
[00:05:17] Trey Gerrald: Yes.
[00:05:18] Chelsey Donn: watching A' movie while they were driving you. Yeah. That's crazy
[00:05:24] Trey Gerrald: Isn't that insanity? So that's different because I'm in the car and 'I can actually say something. But my Complaint is when you catch drivers on their phones, like they're not being subtle about it. And even if they are sure, like don't text and drive, what are we doing?
[00:05:39] Chelsey Donn: my God. Those commercials are horrifying though. You know, the ones don't let your last text be almost there, you know, but like, they're like, they didn't finish the word
[00:05:49] Trey Gerrald: Well, it reminds me of the PSAs when 'I was A' kid of like, this is your brain. This is your brain
[00:05:56] Chelsey Donn: A' drugs with A' frying pan.
[00:06:00] Trey Gerrald: Yes, exactly. So ominous. Anyway, that's my Complaint.
[00:06:03] Chelsey Donn: 'I, hear you. Totally valid. 'I get very nervous when I'm driving with someone especially, and they start doing that. It's like very stressful. And even when you're not like driving with that person, but they're right next to you, you're like, I'm the one that could get in an accent with you.
So, ugh, horrible poo poo. Don't do it.
[00:06:22] Trey Gerrald: don't do it. At least do the Bluetooth talking. We've talked about this.
[00:06:26] Chelsey Donn: Okay. 'I don't wanna have to worry about you guys driving. Just take care of yourselves.
[00:06:31] Trey Gerrald: All right, ChelseyBD, what's your Complaint this week?
[00:06:33] Chelsey Donn: 'I. Gotta complain. All right. We fill out A' lot of forms online these days, right? We talk about it. Jenny Hoof. Nico called in about all the medical forms she had.
A' fill out. So you know when you're filling out A' form, you fill out the whole thing and it's lengthy and you put all the answers in. You do all the hoop line, jump through all the hoops, and then you get to the end of the form and the submit button. like grayed out and you can't press submit and then you're like met with this conundrum because all of your information is in this portal.
Like you've inserted it. So you're like, what do 'I do at this point? Like do 'I try to copy and paste all the content off? Well, sometimes that doesn't work. Sometimes it's like multiple choice or like just like done in A' way where 'I can't do that. So 'I have no choice but to refresh the. And so 'I do, and you lose everything.
You lose everything. You have to start over again. Why?
[00:07:27] Trey Gerrald: Wait, this literally happened to me over the week.
[00:07:30] Chelsey Donn: oh my God.
[00:07:30] Trey Gerrald: It was like an interview thing that was like 45 questions long.
[00:07:35] Chelsey Donn: God.
[00:07:36] Trey Gerrald: There was no save button,
[00:07:37] Chelsey Donn: Yeah, there's no save. Uhuh.
[00:07:39] Trey Gerrald: 'I. Think it was jot form. It was like populated by the A' website called Jot form. Did you, what was yours? Do you even know?
[00:07:46] Chelsey Donn: it might have been that 'I. Just feel like it's always something. Sometimes it's A' Google form. Sometimes it's A' jot form. Sometimes it's just an embedded form, but whatever it is,
[00:07:56] Trey Gerrald: And that's just A' Bug, right? Like it's A' Bug where it doesn't catch that you can submit it.
[00:08:02] Chelsey Donn: Yeah, something like maybe it thinks that you didn't type something in when you did like, cuz you know how sometimes it won't turn the like darker gray until you put in all the information. But like then I'll like check A' million times and be like, 'I put all the information in and it's just, yeah, it's A' glitch and there goes like my afternoon.
You know what 'I mean?
[00:08:20] Trey Gerrald: well, don't you think that if you were the creator of an online multi-question survey form, like if you were Donn form.com, that like mega companies were paying, don't you think you would create like A' create A' profile option or some way to save it?
[00:08:40] Chelsey Donn: you would
[00:08:40] Trey Gerrald: it seem like A' glaring
[00:08:41] Chelsey Donn: 'I. Think in auto save, like as A' built in backup. Seems like the right idea.
[00:08:47] Trey Gerrald: We're in that part of our technology as A' culture now, where it's like you could have an auto save.
[00:08:53] Chelsey Donn: Yeah, have an auto save. Very frustrating. So anyway, I've been like holding onto that because, whew. So that's what I'm lodging my Complaint against this week.
[00:09:03] Trey Gerrald: 'I. Hear you. That is very frustrating. All right, well let's exhale that and.
[00:09:07] Chelsey Donn: please. Whew. Let it go.
[00:09:09] Trey Gerrald: Well, ChelseyBD 'I think it's time for us to get A' little heated against one another as we talk about something really luxurious. ChelseyBD, would you like to go, Hey, hunter head,
[00:09:19] Chelsey Donn: Yes, 'I would. Trey.
[00:09:20] Trey Gerrald: right. Let.
[00:09:22] VOICEOVER: Assess, That, Kvetch.
[00:09:24] Trey Gerrald: Today is another versus episode.
[00:09:27] Chelsey Donn: Woo.
[00:09:28] Trey Gerrald: ChelseyBD and 'I today will be covering both A' one star and A' five star review on the same topic. This week's topic, pull that pin out cuz we are gonna be covering the Bogata hotel, casino and spa, and beautiful Atlantic City, New Jersey.
[00:09:49] Chelsey Donn: 'I am very, very familiar with her. That's right for this versus episode, 'I have selected the one star, and Trey has selected the five star. So to determine who reads first, we gotta flip that quota.
[00:10:05] Trey Gerrald: Uh oh. So I'll say tails.
[00:10:07] Chelsey Donn: Okay?
[00:10:09] Trey Gerrald: It's tails.
[00:10:10] Chelsey Donn: You always win. And 'I always lose at this game. So that
[00:10:12] Trey Gerrald: true?
[00:10:13] Chelsey Donn: 'I feel like yes.
[00:10:15] Trey Gerrald: yeah. Cuz 'I feel like you're, you've been going first. A' lot.
[00:10:18] Chelsey Donn: 'I feel 'I. Don't know what's happening. But either way, you are going first my Queen. So we are going to hear the five star review first, and as Trey mentioned, we are covering the Borga Hotel and Casino at the time of end Spa. At the time, which I've been to, and it's lovely at the time of this recording, the Bogata has 24,000 reviews on Google with an average of 4.4.
Not terrible. According to the internet, Bogata opened in July, 2003 and is the top grossing casino in Atlantic City, the main tower. 431 feet tall and is visible from many miles away due to its facade of reflective gold glass.
[00:11:07] Trey Gerrald: Oh.
[00:11:07] Chelsey Donn: The 161,000 square foot casino floor offers about 4,000 slot machines, A' hundred and 80 table games and 50 poker tables.
The hotel features 2,798 rooms and is the largest hotel in the state of New Jersey. Wow. 'I didn't even know that. So with all that background and phone in mind, let's jump in.
[00:11:36] VOICEOVER: Review That, Review.
[00:11:39] Trey Gerrald: We haven't even, um, discussed our previous after show. If you are not A', member of the Patreon, this is another shameless plug, but we literally recorded A' half hour after show only speaking in A' smr , which like, like. Hilarious. But we also did discuss on the after show how ChelseyBD was in attendance at the soft opening of the Bogota.
[00:12:03] Chelsey Donn: it's true. 'I was there.
[00:12:05] Trey Gerrald: So that 'I just think that's interesting. So
[00:12:06] Chelsey Donn: I've been going to the Bogota since 'I was A' kid, so I'm gonna try to put all of that aside and, and really open up to the fact that 'I was going to the Bogota when 'I was fresh and new and 'I. I've been there like within A' year, but maybe people have different experiences than 'I do.
[00:12:21] Trey Gerrald: Well, don't feel defensive yet cuz I've got the five star.
[00:12:24] Chelsey Donn: you're right, you're right, you're right.
[00:12:25] Trey Gerrald: 'I also wanna share the Bogota actually has two different spas because now there are two hotels at the Bogota technically is how they refer to it. There's, well, there's the water club and then there's the main tower. And the main tower has A' Spa, and then the Water Club has A' two floor spa, which is closed in the winter.
Okay.
[00:12:46] Chelsey Donn: Okay.
[00:12:47] Trey Gerrald: This is Jennifer a's Five Star Yelp review for the Briga. This was written around four years ago. It says, and Jennifer A' is an elite. Here we go. 'I love their many pools, and 'I am so thankful that they have kid-free pools. When 'I peaked into the pool on the third floor of the Bogota Tower, 'I died.
A' little. Everywhere were kids, kids, kids, kids, kids kids. 'I was happy to chill in the 21 plus pools and just have peace. The room was nice and clean, but the view was not good. 'I was overlooking A' roof and it was blah. The feeling 'I got staying in my room was comfort. Bed was comfy and pillows were plush.
Definitely go watch the comedy club. 'I had two free tickets thanks to my Vegas rewards. And with each comedian, you just laugh more and more. 'I didn't know 'I could laugh this much from A' Comedy Club go half an hour earlier if you want good seats. 'I was sitting in my seat 40 minutes before it started and 'I was in the third row middle.
With the wristbands for the pool, you can enjoy the pools on the day you arrive, and you can also enjoy the pools on the day you check out just to make sure you get your new wristband. For entrance, they don't have A' Kitty arcade, Bogota is off the boardwalk. I've never been happier. All 'I needed were the pools and.
'I see people complaining about this $5 self parking, but Bogota is definitely the nicest hotel in Atlantic City and is definitely worth it. Last time 'I paid $5 for parking at ha's, and that place is not even worth $1 parking. I've stayed in all casino and AC and Borga is the only one that screams out luxury and is super worth my time, even if it's far off the board.
Their outdoor pool by Bobby flas brings back my memories of Miami and the water club pools remind me of Vegas. Thanks Bogata for all that relaxation without sand in my butt.
[00:15:10] VOICEOVER: Mm-hmm.
[00:15:12] Chelsey Donn: 'I, glad there was no sand in your.
[00:15:14] Trey Gerrald: Isn't it interesting that Jennifer doesn't want speak about the casino
[00:15:18] Chelsey Donn: 'I was gonna bring that up. So 'I 'I. Think this is interesting that this is A' review where the casino is not mentioned at
[00:15:26] Trey Gerrald: at all.
[00:15:27] Chelsey Donn: Think that's A'. Little strange, but also like, as someone who lives near Atlantic City and like has experienced kind of going on vacation, like A' staycation in Atlantic City at the Bogota, and 'I didn't gamble when 'I was A' kid.
Like 'I can understand how it has staycation vibes and you could go and like just use the pool and just use the whatever. But it was surprising to me that like at no point that was brought up or like it wasn't. My husband really likes to gamble or my brother really likes to gamble or anything about like the casino 'I did think that that was A' little bit odd, but maybe it speaks to the fact that they have so much else going on that even if you were not A' gambler, you could still enjoy your time there
[00:16:13] Trey Gerrald: Yes. And 'I have now been to the Bogata three times in my life, and I've never once stepped foot in A' pool.
[00:16:22] Chelsey Donn: That's the other thing 'I was gonna say is interesting. So I'm A' Pool girl. Even though some people 'I know think it's A' kind of gross, whatever. 'I don't, I'm not A' big ocean person. 'I also don't like to be all Sandy. 'I love to look at it, but 'I don't like to be Sandy and so 'I love A' pool. So this is interesting for me cuz I'm A' pool person so if 'I read this review, 'I would be like, oh my god, that's so cool 'I love that.
So 'I think that to me this applies in A' really lovely way. But trying to kind of, you know, go beyond my own perception of this 'I think there are some people like you that probably are like, well 'I don't really care about the pool. And we spent A', lot of real estate on the pool.
[00:16:57] Trey Gerrald: We did, but 'I also like that 'I, it does stand out as A' five star, cuz there's zero mention of the casino other than the fact. Obviously Jennifer has experience with gambling because they mentioned Vegas and they also mentioned they're my Vegas reward
[00:17:15] Chelsey Donn: right. That like they
[00:17:16] Trey Gerrald: they no longer use. It's now MGM Rewards, but yeah, and right.
And they were comped for the show 'I Guess I'm just curious, like you went to these, you went to Atlantic City, you also went to Vegas as A' kid. 'I. 'I. Appreciate that. Kids, kids, kids, kids. Kids. Kids. Kids. No kids. 21 plus like that's highlighted so much, but. Just wouldn't assume that there would be kids running around A' Casino.
'I mean 'I like 'I. Know there are portions of this that are not the casino, which is clearly highlighted here by Jennifer, but 'I don't think of children when 'I. Think of A' Casino
[00:17:53] Chelsey Donn: 'I mean 'I do cuz 'I like grew up going to the casino. In my case and in other cases, because sometimes 'I would like become friends with like other people's kids, or, you know what 'I mean, that it was like the parents liked to gamble or wanted to gamble and they had children, you know? And 'I think that that's like Vegas is really an Atlantic city.
Is really built around families. Like that's how they sell it cuz they know, they like wanna get the parents in the casino and they'll have babysitters and they have shows that they're buying you like comp tickets to, and you know, amazing meals and things that are like very family centric. Like when 'I went to Vegas, obviously my dad was playing, but we would also see Celine Dion and, you know, have amazing dinners with top chefs.
Definitely try to fill it out with other experiences.
[00:18:44] Trey Gerrald: That's A'. Good perspective. Yeah, no, that's true. That's
[00:18:46] Chelsey Donn: For the whole family.
[00:18:48] Trey Gerrald: So like 'I do think that Jennifer is ticking like valuable new and unique information here? Because 'I mean if, if that is like A' concern of yours having children and also like. Not wanting to be around children either side of that conversation.
They have multiple pools here and they have 21 plus pools, so you're not gonna be hearing,
[00:19:10] Chelsey Donn: right. Right,
[00:19:12] Trey Gerrald: you know,
[00:19:13] Chelsey Donn: Totally.
[00:19:14] Trey Gerrald: no running, you know all that
[00:19:16] Chelsey Donn: yes. 'I. Think it's funny that Jennifer A' feels like A', little curmudgeony. A' little. She's giving me like Ms. Hannigan vibes with like the kids, kids, kids, no kids. You know, that like whole vibe and yet it's A' five star review. So that's
[00:19:34] Trey Gerrald: 'I know, and this whole first paragraph is like 'I hate kids, and the room was blah, and 'I had A' bad view.
[00:19:42] Chelsey Donn: Yeah. It's interesting cuz it does seem like complainy, but then in the end, you know, Jennifer A' got A' five star experience out of the whole thing and the sum of the parts 'I guess for Jennifer added to this five star review. But it is sort of an interesting voice.
[00:19:59] Trey Gerrald: 'I think Jennifer's narrative is that they were taken by the board of Godda. That they were sort of like 'I got there. 'I looked at the pool first. This is not gonna be good. 'I went into the room, it was clean, but 'I had A' bad view. This is not gonna be good. And then it was like, oh. 'I went to the Comedy Club, 'I didn't know 'I could laugh at A' Comedy Club.
Who knew? You know, oh my gosh, there's not A' Kitty arcade. This is amazing. Like, oh my God. You know? It was like she was really swept.
[00:20:29] Chelsey Donn: Yeah.
[00:20:30] Trey Gerrald: Which 'I feel that way about the Bogata too? Like 'I didn't really know. 'I had never been to A' Real Casino before. The first time. 'I didn't know what it 'I mean. 'I had no idea that there would be fancy restaurants and that there would be like nice spot like 'I didn't know, you know?
And it is like as we set in the background info, it's like this is the largest hotel in the state of New Jersey and it is truly A' compound. And you goes days without ever any need to leave.
[00:20:56] Chelsey Donn: Well that's part by Design
[00:20:59] Trey Gerrald: Clearly,
[00:21:00] Chelsey Donn: by design. Interesting. Okay. We had that one spelling error. Um, so that was the, they visited all casino in ac,
[00:21:09] Trey Gerrald: Mm-hmm.
[00:21:10] Chelsey Donn: but other than
[00:21:11] Trey Gerrald: It's pretty good.
[00:21:12] Chelsey Donn: that was the only hiccup. 'I mean. We do know that Jennifer A' is elite, so 'I would think that she did at least A' reread. Was it funny? 'I mean it definitely had A' pov.
[00:21:23] Trey Gerrald: Definite POV here. 'I was entertained by the hate of children. And um, oh, also 'I wanna mention, we just learned this too, that 'I don't know, maybe they didn't do this four years ago, but if you leave the Bogota to go to any other resort, they will give you A' slip. And when you go into any other parking garage, you don't have to pay for parking.
[00:21:45] Chelsey Donn: Oh, interesting. 'I. Don't know if 'I
[00:21:47] Trey Gerrald: Yes, you can say we're going to another casino, but we are returning. They will like type your name in and see you do have more reservation and then they print out the thing and so you don't pay the $5 and then they also give you the slip that you don't have to pay somewhere else. And then when you leave that other, Place.
So you can only park once. 'I, A', I'm guessing. And then when you leave there, you just give them the slip and that counts as money. And then the gate opens. And then when you return, then like you haven't paid for parking at all until you like finally
[00:22:17] Chelsey Donn: Right. What A'? Nice perk. That's, and then, oh, 'I also thought that the $5 A' day comment like that didn't seem bad to me. That's very cheap. 'I think,
[00:22:26] Trey Gerrald: 'I think so too. 'I mean. We're used to LA and New York where it's like $25 for
[00:22:31] Chelsey Donn: like $5 'I 'I. Like pay that in A' meter. Do we think that this is A' common experience?
[00:22:37] Trey Gerrald: maybe the feeling of like being on A' vacation, not wanting hearing, screaming kids 'I, don't know how common it is. 'I mean 'I didn't see any other reviews that didn't mention the gambling. Once 'I mean, that's so interesting.
But there's value there for me about that. 'I don't know. 'I just feel like 'I feel like Jennifer is really in love with.
[00:22:59] Chelsey Donn: Which 'I respect. My AOL screen name was Love for Swim. So Jennifer A' 'I. See
[00:23:05] Trey Gerrald: my gosh.
[00:23:05] Chelsey Donn: Yeah. Are we ready to crown? Jennifer
[00:23:09] Trey Gerrald: Yeah. 'I. Think 'I
[00:23:10] Chelsey Donn: 'I. Think I'm ready to crown her.
[00:23:12] Trey Gerrald: All right, so ChelseyBD and 'I each have our own set of zero to five crown cards. In an effort to be fair and not influence one another, we will simultaneously reveal our rating.
[00:23:22] VOICEOVER: The Queens are Tabulating.
'I to.
[00:23:30] Chelsey Donn: Oh my five crowns, Trey, is that A' five? Is that an intentional five? Oh my God. Trey. Okay, so Trey is, that's okay. I'm interested to hear about that. Trey is making Jennifer A' A' Review Queen. 'I am holding A'. Three and A' Half crowns, 'I. Guess 'I go first and then we'll end with that review. Queening Um,
So 'I went with three and A' half because we didn't mention the casino. 'I just feel like that's kind of important, like that's A' large part of going to this place. And if we had even given any kind of A' nod the casino, like it's there. Something 'I. Think this would've been A' more complete review. But because this is so missing.
That whole portion of the Bogota experience, 'I couldn't, um, give Jennifer more than three and A' half. But 'I enjoyed her pov, her passion for her dislike of children and, you know, informing about the pools. 'I thought there was good information here for sure, but 'I do think we're missing something. So that's why 'I went with three and A', half Trey.
I'm kind of shocked. Why did you decide to make Jennifer A' A' Review Queen?
[00:24:33] Trey Gerrald: Well, because 'I actually think it's amazing they didn't mention it once. And to play Devil's advocate is A'. The, the name of this resort is called Bogata Hotel, casino and Spa.
[00:24:46] Chelsey Donn: Right.
[00:24:47] Trey Gerrald: Jennifer doesn't mention the, doesn't mention the spa
[00:24:50] Chelsey Donn: Yeah, that's true.
[00:24:51] Trey Gerrald: but yes, 'I do think it is A' glaring omission, which in searching five stars, it was refreshing that it wasn't about like there are better craps games of, you know, it was sort of like powerful information about the experience.
That is everything other.
[00:25:09] Chelsey Donn: Sure.
[00:25:10] Trey Gerrald: gambling, but so 'I was like, you know what? That's very Queenly. It was A', very strong POV and came in hot and it gave me A' lot of information. So
[00:25:19] Chelsey Donn: Yeah.
[00:25:19] Trey Gerrald: big or go home. Queen, Review, Queen.
[00:25:23] Chelsey Donn: 'I approve. That's great. You were having memories of Miami and you just decided, let's go full Queen. 'I like it.
[00:25:31] Trey Gerrald: Let's go check on the kids since they've been at the third floor pool by themselves. And we'll take A' quick break and when we come back we're gonna hear an entirely different side of the story
[00:25:40] Chelsey Donn: Indeed. We are 'I. Love it. Brb.
[00:25:44] Trey Gerrald: Chow.
[00:25:47] VOICEOVER: Hold your crown. We'll be right back.
[00:26:20] Chelsey Donn: Uh
[00:26:20] Trey Gerrald: game time
[00:26:22] Chelsey Donn: ominous.
[00:26:23] Trey Gerrald: and here's the deal. 'I have created A' game for ChelseyBD. She has no idea what it is. And 'I just got inspired by the rhyme. And so ChelseyBD, today we are gonna play A' game. It's an either or game, so it's either one or the other. This game is called, is it A' slot or is it Pot?
[00:26:50] Chelsey Donn: Is it slaughter or is it pot
[00:26:52] Trey Gerrald: Yeah.
[00:26:53] Chelsey Donn: A' s slot machine or A'? Strain of pot.
[00:26:55] Trey Gerrald: Yes, that's exactly right.
[00:26:57] Chelsey Donn: genius. Oh my God. 'I, love it.
[00:26:59] Trey Gerrald: Well, at first, 'I was gonna do A' slot or not. But then 'I was like, but then I'm just like making up like, so then 'I was like, wait, 'I know that marijuana has crazy names. So, all right, so 'I
[00:27:11] Chelsey Donn: And listeners play along.
[00:27:13] Trey Gerrald: Everyone play long as usual with the either or.
We're gonna have the three beeps and then you guess, so today all of these 'I have six titles of slot machines and 'I have six strands of marijuana pulled from these resources. So all of the slot machines actually exist at the Golden Nugget.
[00:27:36] Chelsey Donn: Okay. Nice double tundra there.
[00:27:40] Trey Gerrald: Thank you. I'm glad you caught that. And then all of these strands of marijuana exist from A' company called Arizona Natural Selections Quality Craft Cannabis. So 'I haven't made anything up.
[00:27:53] Chelsey Donn: Okay. Yes.
[00:27:55] Trey Gerrald: So here we are. Our first title, ChelseyBD
[00:27:59] Chelsey Donn: Yeah.
[00:28:00] Trey Gerrald: Turquoise Princess, slot or Pot.
[00:28:10] Chelsey Donn: slot
[00:28:12] Trey Gerrald: Good job.
[00:28:14] Chelsey Donn: Okay.
[00:28:17] Trey Gerrald: Slaughter pot shipwreck.
[00:28:20] Chelsey Donn: Ooh, pot.
[00:28:28] Trey Gerrald: Yes, that is A' Sativa Strand.
[00:28:31] Chelsey Donn: Oh wow. Okay. 'I really was gonna go slot on that, cuz that could have definitely been A' slot machine.
[00:28:36] Trey Gerrald: Here we go.
[00:28:37] Chelsey Donn: Okay.
[00:28:39] Trey Gerrald: Slaughter pot, Lil hf, and puff.
[00:28:46] Chelsey Donn: Right. Woo.
[00:28:50] Trey Gerrald: What is A'? Hf 'I Have
[00:28:52] Chelsey Donn: 'I Have no idea.
[00:28:54] Trey Gerrald: Okay. Ace of spades, slot or pot A'.
[00:29:04] Chelsey Donn: pot. Oh
[00:29:07] Trey Gerrald: Yes, it's A' Hybrid 'I. Guess that means
[00:29:11] Chelsey Donn: Sativa and indica.
[00:29:13] Trey Gerrald: All right. You're getting all of these And 'I thought you wouldn't get any. Okay, here we go. Okay. Slaughter Pot.
[00:29:19] Chelsey Donn: Okay.
[00:29:20] Trey Gerrald: A' Poco Gold.
[00:29:23] Chelsey Donn: Ooh. Pot
[00:29:30] Trey Gerrald: Yes, that is also A' hybrid. Okay. Good luck with this one. You bitch or pot? Black diamond
[00:29:40] Chelsey Donn: Oh God. pot
[00:29:52] Trey Gerrald: Yes, it's an indica flower.
[00:29:55] Chelsey Donn: Oh my God. Okay.
[00:29:58] Trey Gerrald: All right.
[00:29:59] Chelsey Donn: Yeah.
[00:30:00] Trey Gerrald: Slot or pot lepro con goes to hell.
[00:30:04] Chelsey Donn: Oh, pot. My first wrong 'I knew it. It's okay. It's
[00:30:14] Trey Gerrald: Yeah. That is actually A' slot
[00:30:17] Chelsey Donn: 'I felt that. Yeah, it's okay. 'I gotta get one wrong. Once in A' while.
[00:30:21] Trey Gerrald: That's true. All right. Cleopatra slot or pot.
[00:30:31] Chelsey Donn: Slot
[00:30:33] Trey Gerrald: That's right.
[00:30:34] Chelsey Donn: 'I. Know that one. 'I. 'I know That's A' lot machine.
[00:30:37] Trey Gerrald: Yeah, 'I. Think 'I can see
[00:30:38] Chelsey Donn: Yeah.
[00:30:39] Trey Gerrald: All right. Golden goat slot or pot.
[00:30:48] Chelsey Donn: slot. Oh no,
[00:30:54] Trey Gerrald: No,
[00:30:54] Chelsey Donn: pot. Okay,
[00:30:55] Trey Gerrald: the Golden Goat is A' Hybrid. All right.
[00:30:59] Chelsey Donn: That's all you know how to say about it. 'I, love you. 'I. . So 'I like it's an upbeat hybrid that makes you creative.
[00:31:07] Trey Gerrald: Okay. Slot or pot? Gypsy Fire.
[00:31:13] Chelsey Donn: Oh, super inappropriate name either way. So I'm gonna go slot
[00:31:22] Trey Gerrald: Wait, why is it inappropriate?
[00:31:23] Chelsey Donn: 'I. We're not supposed to say gypsies
[00:31:25] Trey Gerrald: Oh, the G word. Oh, right. All right. Two more. And you've gotten all of them right, but two.
[00:31:32] Chelsey Donn: Eight. 'I. Think. Yeah. Eight. So far, 'I gotten right.
[00:31:35] Trey Gerrald: That's right. Okay. Fiesta loca slot or pot.
[00:31:46] Chelsey Donn: Slot.
[00:31:48] Trey Gerrald: Yeah, you can see it, can't
[00:31:49] Chelsey Donn: Yeah. 'I like that game too. 'I think.
[00:31:52] Trey Gerrald: Okay, our final one,
[00:31:54] Chelsey Donn: Okay.
[00:31:55] Trey Gerrald: slaughter Pot. Pot of gold.
[00:32:03] Chelsey Donn: Slot. 'I. Feel like there is A' slot called that, but you know what, that's fine. I'll
[00:32:08] Trey Gerrald: You would think, yeah, but not at Harris's. 'I mean not at Golden
[00:32:12] Chelsey Donn: right? Not A'. Gold nugget. That was such A'. Good game. Tray 'I. Loved that.
[00:32:18] Trey Gerrald: wait. Pot of gold is an indica.
[00:32:19] Chelsey Donn: Okay.
[00:32:20] Trey Gerrald: So, all right, so you got three wrong, which means you won.
[00:32:24] Chelsey Donn: Woo. And listers at home. Did you beat me? Did you beat nine? us know.
[00:32:31] Trey Gerrald: you do?
[00:32:31] Chelsey Donn: That was so fun. Trey 'I. Love that.
[00:32:34] Trey Gerrald: 'I felt inspired, but you did so much better than 'I.
[00:32:38] Chelsey Donn: Okay, well I'm glad you had faith in me.
[00:32:41] Trey Gerrald: 'I just thought they were really hard,
[00:32:44] Chelsey Donn: did A'. Really, really good job. 'I could see where you were coming from. 'I was just like going with the energy that 'I was feeling as you were saying it. You know, 'I was in the zone for A'. A' minute there.
[00:32:54] Trey Gerrald: Well, I'm proud of you.
[00:32:55] Chelsey Donn: Thank you. Thank you. Thank you.
[00:32:59] VOICEOVER: Review, That, Review.
[00:33:03] Trey Gerrald: A'. Alright, we are back from that rousing
smoking
[00:33:10] Chelsey Donn: 'I know you're doing
[00:33:11] Trey Gerrald: and ChelseyBD. Now that we're so calm, it's your turn. 'I.
[00:33:15] Chelsey Donn: try. You didn't know this when you presented your review. You didn't even know where 'I had gotten my review from, but 'I also got my review from Yelp and 'I also have my review from A' Yelp Elite. So this is officially A' Yelp Elite one in Five, battle of the Elites.
That's even more exciting. This, as we know listeners, is A' one serve view of the Bogata Hotel. Like 'I said on. Written by Michael N, who is an elite reviewer. This review was written over three years ago, so not such A'. Different timeframe, kind of around the same time.
[00:33:53] Trey Gerrald: Mm-hmm.
[00:33:53] Chelsey Donn: And here we go. For far too long the bar has been set remarkably low on hospitality and customer service among the aging stock of casino hotels in Atlantic City, unless of course you're A' money Burning Poker whale or A' compulsive slot slave who litters the floor with hundreds just to get A' bus ticket and A' crack at the buffet. For these Sainted few, the casino sees part as the low rent comps and tranquilizing party flavors flow freely in celebration of their blind stupidity and financial illiteracy.
[00:34:41] Trey Gerrald: Oh.
[00:34:41] Chelsey Donn: Somehow A' free. Front row seat to the acoustic Rick Springfield review just doesn't cut it. In exchange for the five large you spent the evening flushing into the ocean. On the other side of the casino coin, there are guys like me who go down the GS P every once in A' while for A' decent show and meal comped out of my own pocket and left to grapple with $4 75 cents, eight ounce water bottles, and increasing shabby accommodations. Sad. The Bogota is no longer newish, but showing all of its 17 years of wear and tear
[00:35:37] Trey Gerrald: Hmm.
[00:35:37] Chelsey Donn: this property and all of AC for that matter, just looks tired forever frozen in the receiving haze of the eighties, nineties, and early aughts.
Here's hoping they gave Rick Springfield A' room with A' shower. That works.
[00:36:01] VOICEOVER: Mm-hmm.
[00:36:02] Trey Gerrald: Wait, who's Rick? Who is Rick Springfield?
[00:36:05] Chelsey Donn: Isn't Rick Springfield? Um, not Footloose. You know
[00:36:10] Trey Gerrald: Is that the boss?
[00:36:11] Chelsey Donn: no, that's Bruce. Um,
[00:36:14] Trey Gerrald: Bruce
[00:36:15] Chelsey Donn: Springfield, Rick Spring.
[00:36:16] Trey Gerrald: Spring.
[00:36:17] Chelsey Donn: Spring scene. Jesse's girl. That's Rick. Spring scene. Springfield, yeah. Mm-hmm.
[00:36:24] Trey Gerrald: Got it. Okay. So Michael brings up A'. Lot of really interesting points here. 'I thought that maybe it, it occurred to me that there might be an additional paragraph that Michael accidentally lost, like 'I felt like we were building up to A' A' larger conclusion or something. But am 'I wrong in hearing that many of the complaints.
Are about the gambling industry and culture, not necessarily the aging Bogota of 17 years. Like they mention specifics like customer service, whatever, but it's also sort of like, don't, don't you think that most casinos are making profit from people flushing money into the ocean and being financially illiterate?
[00:37:10] Chelsey Donn: 'I. Just think
[00:37:11] Trey Gerrald: that's not, that's not specific to the borga.
[00:37:13] Chelsey Donn: 'I think you're A'. Hundred percent correct. And 'I think that this is 98% A' essay on like why not to gamble or something like that. And then it really is just context for setting up what was sort of set up without saying. So in Jennifer's review, which is that Michael's not in the casino.
Michael's not at the slot machines.
[00:37:42] Trey Gerrald: Hmm.
[00:37:43] Chelsey Donn: meal is comped. He's joking by himself. He's paying
[00:37:47] Trey Gerrald: 'I wrote that down,
[00:37:48] Chelsey Donn: He's paying out of pocket for, you know, the $4 and 75 cent eight ounce water bottle. Cuz in his mind he's like, you're more than paying for it. If you're sitting at the casino and you're getting free waters.
You're paying for that water trust and it's more than $4 and 75 cents. So this is really like A' thesis statement. And then at the bottom, the very end, you know, we get the details of, of the wear and tear,
[00:38:17] Trey Gerrald: which, you know, 'I don't disagree with Michael on A'. Lot of this 'I also recognized that all of the water bottles are these tiny eight ounce water bottles. Like 'I didn't like really think about it.
[00:38:30] Chelsey Donn: Yeah.
[00:38:31] Trey Gerrald: but 'I immediately wrote that down because that is annoying. But 'I get that. They're making, they want everyone to be drunk, but like 'I don't think that's specific to the Bogota.
'I. Feel like you could write that about anything. But 'I do. A'. Very much agree. 'I do know that so much of this episode has been about Chelsea's past experience, like growing up in this culture and my very recent experience, but like 'I 'I was literally just there and 'I even was like this spa, like feels.
Old, like it looks not lux, like this is the luxury option. And like this feels
[00:39:06] Chelsey Donn: not luxury.
[00:39:07] Trey Gerrald: old and like grow, like it doesn't feel elegant.
[00:39:10] Chelsey Donn: Like 'I said, 'I was the first per 'I was the soft open. 'I was like the first person to sleep in the room that we were sleeping in and everything was so luxe and so new and 'I think that this is like A'. Very common problem with these hotels is that when they open they are A' state of the art. But by the time you know, you get running and you like get that reputation, all of A' sudden there's A' new guy in town and you're no longer the shiny new toy.
[00:39:35] Trey Gerrald: Correct. And the Bogota has had three renovations and all of the bathrooms are completely redone. 'I, 'I personally did not find the, the guest rooms to seem bad or old. It was really like the spa. 'I was like this. This isn't that luxe. , but 'I. 'I. So 'I get 'I. Do hear Michael's point, but 'I also just sort of feel like, okay, but, but 'I also hear in Michael's point, which is an interesting, unique information, perhaps Atlantic City compared to Las Vegas, because Las Vegas feels like you're walking into A' place.
That doesn't feel like, wow, this feels like we're in like 1999. Like, like 'I don't know how they do that, but it's its own ecosystem. Whereas 'I do think Atlantic City is A' very economically depressed area, and the Bogota itself is A' removed from it. It's not in the downtown area, it's in its own little enclave and you don't have to leave and so you don't have to experience the culture of what the reality is and the daylight of the town of Atlantic City, which like 'I didn't really feel that when 'I was in Vegas.
It's just like you're there and everyone is going buck wild.
[00:40:52] Chelsey Donn: Exactly. Yeah. People are drinking those like those mile long hurricanes with the long straws on the streets.
[00:41:00] Trey Gerrald: But to be fair, 'I did go to the Bellagio and that felt outrageously elegant. 'I do think it does feel more elegant than the Bocata and the win 'I think feels so lux like.
[00:41:14] Chelsey Donn: Oh yeah. Well, Luxe is like A' part of the whole thing,
[00:41:18] Trey Gerrald: Right. 'I hear this now from Michael. Like if you're touting that like 'I do, see how the Bogata perhaps falls? A'. Little bit short of that. So that is an interesting
[00:41:29] Chelsey Donn: Yeah, 'I. Mean 'I. Think that Michael n has A' little bit of like Yelp elite 'I with like the.
[00:41:35] Trey Gerrald: 'I hear that too.
[00:41:36] Chelsey Donn: You know, just like the way that we're going about this review and 'I, don't know if I'm like, at this point, 'I don't know if 'I love that or hate that. Like 'I think that A' part of me likes it because at least it's interesting and different and there's like A' style to it and we're telling, we're like weaving the story that is creative as opposed to just like it was ugly.
It sucked the, it was out, out of date. The, yeah. Yeah.
[00:42:00] Trey Gerrald: I've also never heard, have you heard these phrases before? A'? Poker Whale and A'. Slot Slave.
[00:42:08] Chelsey Donn: I've definitely heard of A' Poker. Whale 'I. Don't know about A'
[00:42:10] Trey Gerrald: Oh, really? 'I.
[00:42:12] Chelsey Donn: Slave. Yeah.
[00:42:13] Trey Gerrald: I've never heard these phrases and I'm obsessed.
[00:42:17] Chelsey Donn: What does GSP mean? Am
[00:42:19] Trey Gerrald: The Garden State
[00:42:20] Chelsey Donn: Oh my God. Okay. Thank you. 'I was just Googling that. 'I was like, okay,
[00:42:24] Trey Gerrald: I'm so glad that it happened because 'I was so embarrassed when 'I didn't know the pch.
[00:42:29] Chelsey Donn: oh. Was Pacific Coast Highway.
[00:42:31] Trey Gerrald: Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah. That was like 30
[00:42:33] Chelsey Donn: 'I go down the gsp. Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah. Okay. Fair? Yeah. 'I relate to Michael Ann,
[00:42:39] Trey Gerrald: 'I do too. 'I, 'I, 'I. Understand what Michael is saying? 'I. But 'I am sort of, 'I do think, in my opinion, the the punch is getting lost and all of these assassinations of what the culture of gambling is like. You sort of have to go in knowing the house is always gonna win. You're gonna lose A', lot of money.
Nothing is actually free because you're paying so much money to be there, to be entertained. So, and like, so that's what it is. Like if you're gonna be annoyed.
[00:43:06] Chelsey Donn: if you're somebody that's like that does gamble, who is going to the Buratta two Gamble and you read Michael's review, you might feel personally assassinated. Right?
[00:43:17] Trey Gerrald: Yeah, that's true.
[00:43:18] Chelsey Donn: He's kind of like hazing at A'. Very large population of people that are going to the Bogota 'I just thought of that, but maybe 'I would think, stop calling me stupid and financially illiterate.
[00:43:33] Trey Gerrald: 'I know that is like, I'm like 'I. Guess I'm financially illiterate in many ways.
[00:43:38] Chelsey Donn: aren't. Yeah. 'I mean Aren't we all
[00:43:40] Trey Gerrald: 'I mean spelling, grammar
[00:43:42] Chelsey Donn: very good? Yeah. Very good.
[00:43:45] Trey Gerrald: 'I definitely think that Michael is both truthful. And both shady.
[00:43:49] Chelsey Donn: Definitely Shady A' hundred
[00:43:51] Trey Gerrald: but 'I, but 'I also
[00:43:53] Chelsey Donn: truthful in that la last paragraph. And truthful in their shadiness, 'I guess in A' way that like the stereotypes are true, but it is A', bit of A' character assassination.
[00:44:04] Trey Gerrald: Yeah,
[00:44:05] Chelsey Donn: And also poor Rick Springfield. You know,
[00:44:09] Trey Gerrald: 'I
[00:44:09] Chelsey Donn: like 'I feel.
[00:44:10] Trey Gerrald: being very mean
[00:44:11] Chelsey Donn: He's being very mean to Rick, which 'I don't think is necessary.
Like if Rick needs to do A' review at the Bogota to, you know, keep that income coming in, then 'I say, go for it, Rick. Jessie's,
[00:44:23] Trey Gerrald: of course.
[00:44:24] Chelsey Donn: girl. Let's do it.
[00:44:26] Trey Gerrald: And then humor. 'I was kind of
[00:44:28] Chelsey Donn: Yeah. 'I. There was humor there. Definitely. There was
[00:44:30] Trey Gerrald: Yeah.
[00:44:31] Chelsey Donn: All right. Have we done due diligence,
[00:44:33] Trey Gerrald: Yeah. 'I. Think we've 'I, think we've done A'. Remarkably high assessment of Michael and, and 'I. Could, 'I could crown
[00:44:41] Chelsey Donn: Okay, let's do it.
[00:44:42] VOICEOVER: The Queens are Tabulating.
Go to.
[00:44:50] Chelsey Donn: Okay.
[00:44:50] Trey Gerrald: all right, so Unan, we are both holding up three and A' half crowns. All right, so 'I set three and A' half because ultimately 'I do find that last paragraph to be factual. In my opinion. 'I 'I also hear that it is not, you know, we're not at the Waldo Foria. And it is like A', little outdated, but like, okay.
But for me, it's much easier and cheaper to go to Atlantic City than it is to Las Vegas. So I'm not gonna compare it to Las Vegas because compare leads to despair. Michael. Okay. 'I also said halfway there because, you know, 'I thought it was funny. 'I think like, you know, 'I, 'I get the points, but 'I do think that Michael just is, um, looking at it half empty because.
That's just part of it. It's just part of it. Everything is an illusion of being free. Yes. Like they're gonna give you free drinks walking around because they want you to be drunk and gamble and lose money. You like know that going in. So you have to have that.
[00:45:50] Chelsey Donn: into the pie.
[00:45:51] Trey Gerrald: It's the culture, it's the industry, you know.
So 'I, A' three and A' half cuz 'I 'I do walk away from this hearing. Like it's gonna be A' luxe option, but it's not really lux. If you zoom out and look at other Lux A' areas in our country, so three and A', half ChelseyBD. Why did you say three and A' Half
[00:46:10] Chelsey Donn: 'I just A' three and A' half because 'I think in terms of A' of A' review, it's well written. There's A' strong pov. There's definitely A' style 'I. Think you know, this is the review itself. If 'I was just grading the review is A' an above average review. That being said, 'I think that, you know, we went A' little hard at people that like to gamble.
We went A' little hard. You know, at Rick Springfield and 'I do agree 'I. Think Michael's A', bit of A', pessimist, 'I. Think part of the beauty and the joy as someone who grew up going to, you know, near Atlantic City every summer since 'I was A' little kid. Like you just, you accept it, right? You accept like the person that's gonna be like smoking, A' cigarette living at the slot machine for 12 hours.
You just, like you, you take that as what it is. 'I mean. 'I went in the pandemic and there was someone literally smoking A' cigarette. Underneath their mask. And you know what 'I mean? You're like, this is Atlantic City folks. This is where we are. So 'I think that Michael could afford to be A', little bit more accepting.
Um, and for that reason, 'I went with three and A' half Crowns. But 'I think that there is something there for Michael. So, you know, we got some points, but not A', full Review Queen. Certainly for me,
[00:47:24] Trey Gerrald: Yeah. No, 'I agree.
[00:47:25] Chelsey Donn: that was fun.
[00:47:27] Trey Gerrald: All right, so what do you think now? Like what are your thoughts between these two reviews?
[00:47:33] Chelsey Donn: My thoughts being as that they're written around the same time is that it's, you know, it's probably A' little bit run down, which is where even our first reviewer was talking about the room, like being what kind of plain or something like that. But 'I think blah. But 'I think if you're willing to embrace the things that you love, whether that be A' Pool or A' Great Casino, or you know, any aspect of it that you like, then you could probably have A' very good experience with work.
A', 'I think they're worth the 4.4 overall.
[00:48:05] Trey Gerrald: 'I do too. 'I. Mean 'I. Think like this conversation from Michael. Is A' conversation everyone should have before they go 'I mean it is sort of like we 'I, think of Las Vegas and A' and Atlantic City as like an adult Disney world where it's like you can go and like be A' little bit reckless and fun, like, you know, it's just like to be entertained and, but that does require A'.
Lot of work. So 'I, I'm gonna use this as the segue. 'I talked about this before and 'I, we mentioned it in an after show, but responsible gaming. If any, if you are someone who is into gambling, if it is something, it is addictive by nature, and I'm sure that there are many laws in place that require casinos to promote responsible gaming.
So out of being responsible podcasters, 'I wanted to include the link, mgm resorts.com/. As in English slash game sense, you can go there and 'I actually read it. 'I didn't, 'I didn't feel that 'I was like struggling with an addiction, but 'I wanted to see how, uh, truthful they were about the house always winning.
And they really spell it out. 'I mean literally. The first section is. How gambling works. The more you know, they tell you the odds and the randomness. They break down what is skill based versus chance based. Gambling myths, and they give you tips. They also, at the bottom, give you the opportunity to find help if you feel like.
This might be like above my addictive, uh, swing gate of what 'I can control. Uh, and they break down many states that have specific gambling resources that are 24 hour confidential resources. And there's even A' self limit program, enrollment form, and A' self assessment that you can take to see like what is your sort of barometer when it comes to like, can 'I.
Do this and like create my own limits and like have fun and, and enjoy it for what it's worth. Or am 'I gonna feel nickel and dimed and like I'm being abused? You know, it's not comp, it's coming outta my wallet as Michael points out. So please go there if you feel like you want to know A' little bit more.
And, um, 'I still love the poor God. I'm still gonna go cuz it's
[00:50:24] Chelsey Donn: me too. I'll see you there for sure. This 'I don't think either one of these was so inflammatory,
[00:50:31] Trey Gerrald: 'I don't either. It is what it is. Like who cares? You're gonna go, you're gonna have fun. You go lay by the pool or go watch A' A' Singer from the eighties, like get over
[00:50:40] Chelsey Donn: Get over it. Expect what it is to be what it is. Yeah.
[00:50:46] Trey Gerrald: here we are. We have reached the most regal portion of our show. Who are you gonna Induc today? Full.
[00:50:56] VOICEOVER: My Royal line.
[00:50:57] Chelsey Donn: Thank you for asking Trey. So, as we all know, we are inching closer and closer to the holiday season and something that comes up, at least for me and 'I, think for A', lot of people around the holiday season, beyond the fact that you know you have to buy gifts for your own family is some people don't have Christmas gifts.
Some people are not as lucky as others. 'I think it's A'. Really good time to give back. And one organization that 'I really like, it's called One Simple Wish. You can find it@onesimplewish.org. And what they do is they connect with foster homes and put together wish lists that someone in A' Foster Home actually has for an item.
And you can go on and buy that specific item for that specific child and kind of make their holiday wish come true. Love this organization because there's something really nice to know that like you're buying this camera for Steven who really wants to be A' photographer, and there's something nice about that exchange.
And 'I just really love all the work they're doing over there. So 'I encourage everyone to go to One Simple wish.org. They have. All different kinds of gifts at all different price points. So if you just, you know, you don't have that much to give, but you wanna do something, it's A'. Good way of doing that.
And then they have, of course, larger items and 'I, think scholarship funds and things like that. So really amazing organization. 'I wanted to take this moment to talk about them and promote them. And 'I wanted to nominate one simple Wish as My Royal Highness.
[00:52:32] Trey Gerrald: Oh my gosh, I've never heard of this. And 'I love this. 'I just clicked on the website and like there are little categories like, uh, wish is Under A', hundred dollars, this one. Here says A' gift card for Jennifer to get some clothes, and there's also like an urgent wishes category, so this is awesome. I'm gonna do this right now.
[00:52:52] Chelsey Donn: Yeah, 'I. Encourage everyone to do it right now. 'I mean obviously if you're driving, wait until you get home and you're pulled over and it's safe, okay?
[00:53:00] Trey Gerrald: don't pull that. Don't pull that
[00:53:01] Chelsey Donn: pull that phone out. But when you get home, or if you are at home, do consider going to one Simple wish.org and you know, making someone's holiday A' little bit more special.
[00:53:12] Trey Gerrald: Oh my gosh. This one says $5 as A' donation towards A' Child's special Wish. And then the one right beside it is $250 for A' Chromebook. For Jdu for school. Oh my God. I'm literally gonna cry. Okay. Thank you for that
[00:53:28] Chelsey Donn: Yes, of course.
[00:53:30] Trey Gerrald: Well, we've done A' Queen. That is another round on the roulette table of Are You A'?
